Originally from England, but currently living in Vancouver and working for an educational software company in Gastown. I started with my learning with BCIT in the COMP1850 program with the intention to work towards the associate certificate. After completing COMP1850 I naturally progressed to the more advanced development courses.
I have thoroughly enjoyed COMP1950 and found it incredibly useful with my current career. I have particularly enjoyed learning about HTML5, CSS3 and javascript. After completing this course I intend to continue my progression through the Web Development Associate Certificate.

I dedicate a lot of time into Emergency Management and my work focuses on Emergency Planning and Preparedness. I've been deployed multiple times to other provinces, especially after wildfires, to take care of the recovery, planning and preparation phase of the response. I am also part of the Special Operations department for BC Ambulance that takes care of contracted ambulance services like Pemberton Music Festival to Canucks games; Health Canada's Internationally Protected Persons (IPP) Program, and Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear explosive (CBRNE) protective measures.
Apart from work, I would like to be a graphic designer and a web developer. I've been very into design when I was young but because my parents worry the outcomes of my future with an art degree, so I graduated with a bachelor in business with multiple certifications in emergency management when I was still volunteering for Red Cross. After graduation, I can now focus on what I really love and enjoy and hopefully be hired in a design company in the near future.
